Team Energy will actively promote energy efficiency within the New Forest area to help resident’s wellbeing and support a more sustainable lifestyle.
This will be achieved by short and long term innovation together with the help and support of businesses and partner agencies. The Brand New Forest Energy Plan will be delivered by New Forest District Council in partnership with the Environment Centre.
We estimate the 2009 Tour Bus saved 70,125 car miles - the equivelant of 19.5 tonnes of carbon.
- We will map the existing organisations and support groups to provide them with the tools to promote energy efficiency to their networks
- We will reduce the Carbon Footprint of the New Forest by informing and encouraging 10,000 New Forest residents to pledge to make simple changes to their everyday lifestyles
- We will act as the critical friend to the other Brand New Forest partners, helping them calculate the CO2 savings from their initiatives.
